    Remodel a Kitchen
    $48,000

My kitchen was remodeled by Everlast construction. The new kitchen that I ordered was based on a great 3D design that Ariel did for me. His design was very detailed and it allow me to see how my new kitchen will look like. Ariel had the patience to seat with me and go thru all the steps and parts of the new kitchen. His work took close to a month and his workers showed up each day to complete coming from the work. Ariel made sure to be in touch with me about each step of the way and he visited my house several times a week in order to see that there are no mistakes or issues. The new kitchen reveal the professionalism of Ariel and his workers and I'm very happy!!!

We were incredibly pleased with Everlast construction Kitchen Design. Ariel Baleli designed our kitchen (every inch of it) and provided our cabinets. Kitchen and Bathroom Remodeling
    $19,000

I hired Everlast Constellation because a coworker assured me that they were a good team and they definitely are. One of the best contractors I’ve ever worked with! Most contractors have a lot of hidden fees or don’t do a good job on your project and expect you to pay up. I spoke to Ariel over the phone and I loved how he was just to straight with me. No hidden anything like at all honestly. I had them remodel my whole kitchen and bathroom and my investment was worth every single penny. Their work crew is very outgoing and pay attention to every little detail. If something wasn’t right, they’ve fixed it before I even had a chance to say something. One of the best contractors I’ve worked with and will continue to work with them this year for further renovations. Thank you guys so much. You guys earned this review!

Restoring bathroom after disastrous remodel (previous)

I'm coming off a disastrous remodel (courtesy of previous shady contractors) who left us high n' dry after taking three months to repair and reconstruct a bare bones bath. In my fit of desperation, I hopped online to replace the incompetent team with someone who'd bring solid, A-grade experience. And, I stumbled onto Everlast. I'd say EC needs to earn the distinction of being one of the top rated bath construction and remodeling companies in the entire Bay area. And, that's saying a lot given how saturated this space is. Ariel brings a fantastic ability (and an utterly sweet charm) to provide his clients with exceptional work, each and every time, and developing long-lasting relationships. After our brief 4-day stint, we considered this man like ?family member. You can trust his 5-star ratings as he delivers on time, is competitively priced, and will go above n' beyond to ensure you are 150% satisfied. And, I was.
Exceptional client service is an understatement. Thank you very much for a fresh new feel for my bathroom, I love the lowered foot niche for shaving that you put in for me.

Kitchen and bath romodel, installed a new AC/Heating system, new electrical wiring through out and a

Great experience with Everlast and their crew. Upon meeting our project coordinator for our estimate/quote we felt comfortable working with them and didn't feel we were being pushed in any direction, especially financially. They started demo on our bathroom remodel before we expected them to and they moved very efficiently and quickly as they gutted the entire kitchen. His vision brought about a gorgeous new design, which my old house was in desperate need of! also installed some electrical. They were respectful of my home and were great with my dog! They went the extra mile to make sure I was happy and definitely pay attention to details. Would definitely recommend them for any work you need done on your property!

    Kitchen model
    $6,000

I was working with a contractor for a home remodel and the quote I received for bathroom vanities/granite countertops was much higher than I expected, so I looked around at a few places and ended up going with Ariel over at Everlast Construction. I reached out through Yelp, he got back to me very quickly, and even met with me on short notice on a Sunday!

The team were easy to work with - I felt bad that our install schedule was a little wonky because I was juggling the rest of the bathroom remodel. Everlast handled the tub top install and the vanity/counter install. I needed the tub top to be installed before the vanities, which made scheduling complicated, but they were really wonderful about the whole process.

Our pre-fab cabinets have a very custom look and feel the way they were installed! We couldn't be happier :)

kitchen and bathroom remodel, flooring and exterior painting.

I look forward to working with his crew again for future home projects! When my wife and I bought our new 3 bedroom, 2 bath house in Piedmont last year we thought we wanted a lot of work done. We had grand schemes to completely gut and remodel the master bath, the kitchen, the front and back yard, carpet, painting, and all sorts of other stuff. Problem was...we didn't know where to start. Thankfully we called EC and he advised us on the right path forward, and saved us a lot of money and hassle by focusing on the areas that added the most value and comfort to our home. We decided on new trim throughout the house, new interior doors, re-finishing the walls and ceiling, replacing the carpet in each bedroom, and widening our kitchen to let it flow directly into the dining room. Then over the course of a few weeks, Everlast and the team (his lead carpenter Itay is great!) proceeded to transform our old outdated 1960's styled suburban bungalow, into a comfortable, modern (more valuable) place we are more than happy to call home!

upgrading my master bathroom, new cabinets, appliances, tile floors, fixtures, drywall, ceiling

I'm not sure if Ariel needs any more 5-star reviews, but I'm definitely another of his many happy clients. Everyone from Everlast Construction was a pleasure to work with, and they did high quality work. I was especially impressed about how they handle non-routine projects that require ingenuity and problem solving. The details inside my bathroom are complimented by everyone who walks in there.. If you're like me and know nothing about this industry I would hire Ariel and his team to guide you step by step! A big thanks to my general contractor and the team for renovating my amazing bathroom and also thank you guys for your hard work!

    entire home remodeling

I'd gotten quotes from other firms before being referred to Ari , the owner of Everlast Construction. At our first meeting, I immediately got the feeling of confidence and genuine interest in my project I was looking for. Talking to Ari's references made my decision to go with him easy as they couldn't say enough about how great he and his team are and both had used him for multiple projects. I especially appreciated that Ari allows you to have as much or as little input as you want. As design, color, etc. are not my strong suit, I was relieved he was open to sharing his vision based on 10+ years of experience. My project was to remodel my entire home. Words to describe Ari and his team are professional, creative, trustworthy, accommodating, thoughtful, neat, amazing attention to detail and perfectionist. Bathroom Leak repair
    Verified Hire

I hired Everlast few years ago to do my kitchen, this time i had bathroom leak one of the pipes got snapped somehow. I had to have someone come here asap so i google something and Buildzoom came first. I saw few companies and i remembered Everlast construction, Ari was great during the remodel he always told me i am few minutes away if anything else happen let me know always here for my clients. I remember that so i looked for Everlast on Buildzoom it shows 26 minutes response time. I figure why not invite them as well for the estimate i got response within several minutes, Ari tell me Ben i am very close to your house i can be there in minutes, i told him come on over. Ari had to leave for another client so he let his guys address the issue. They identify the issue and fix it within few minutes. Ari was nice enough to give me great deal. Overall base on my last experience and this is great company.

My husband and I hired Everlast to do kitchen and two bathrooms the whole process was such a wonderful experience. Our project manager Ari is an expert in the industry and a pleasure to work with. The guys were professional and extremely neat throughout the process. I absolutely love Everlast crew they are kind, clean and they care about our house. It has almost everything you need for doing a complete kitchen makeover. I was able to pick out my cabinets, hardware, sinks and faucets in all in one place that work with Everlast and gave us great deal. What really gave me reason to give them five stars is Everlast stands behind their product. I had a minor problem with the finish on a couple of the cabinets and Everlast took care of it without hesitation. We love our kitchen! Thank you Ari and your team.

We worked with Ari at Everlast to design & renovate our complete kitchen remodel. He was really great to work with from start to finish. Ari took the time to figure out what our design tastes were and used that to guide us every step of the way. There were a lot of decisions to make but he was able to narrow things down where it was not overwhelming. The teams that worked were top notch and did a great job. We did not run into any issues at all with the work. We are very happy with how the project turned out and would highly recommend Everlast for your kitchen remodel.

Everlast Construction did a wonderful job remodeling our kitchen and opening it up to our dining room and living room. The house is now so open and airy, it is a joy to have company over as I am not hidden away in the kitchen. They did such a good job of keeping the work area sealed off from the rest of the house (dust almost free) during construction. All the different guys that came to our house were really professional and did a great job. There were a couple of glitches, but they were promptly fixed. Ari, he was just awesome to work with, as well as Gideon. They also ended up redoing our shower, and Tyler and Drew did a great job on the tile there and the backsplash in the kitchen is the envy of all my friends. The description of work they went over with us before work started was such a great thing, too. Everything was completed in the time frame we were quoted. I would sure use them again, and recommend them to anyone.

I hired Everlast to renovate my kitchen and bathroom. After carefully planning the project exactly to my specifications, Ari and his team completed the work on time and within our planned budget. My house posed some challenges given that the house was built in the 1900's and Ari was able to come up with solutions to problems posed by working in an old house. I found them to be proactive, creative, responsible and thorough. The quality of their work was ver high and they made sure that I was completely happy with everything I so appreciate his professionalism, efficiency, fairness and trustworthiness. I feel very confident recommending Everlast to anyone interested in a high quality renovation of their home.

Ari at Everlast is is so easy to work with. He really made the whole process of doing a kitchen remodel fun. They have 3D rendering options for kitchens it's really give you that visual that you need to help with the decision making process. Ari does a great job with keeping up with the latest trends as well. We highly recommend Everlast!

The problem is they had too many different people so it is kind of hard to rate them. If I'm a visual person I can give you a better rating. Some people did a good job, some people didn't. The work they did was excellent, very good. I would say that the quality of work was very very good, depending on who did it.

"The worst. The contractor who did the work was good, but the sales person who came made promises that he didn't keep and then I had to kick them out, literally, out of the house. He insisted that I owed money and wouldn't listen to me. Inisisted he was right and wouldn't listen to me, had to call my husband who called the owner."

Very bad experience. They don't clean up after themselves. The work is just not professional and not up to par. Also, they don't finish all the work. There was a couple of changes in budget due to snags and they said they would pay for certain things, but didn't. They didn't give us the right quote.

We looked for the company for a while until we found Everlast, most of the companies didn't even show up for the estimate, the once who showed up was late. We just couldn't choose someone that late on first meeting that is just not going to work for us. Everlast had sent Ari, he arrived 20 minutes before and waited outside for the time he was there 4pm sharp, we saw him outside in his truck waiting and he was on our step door at 4pm sharp. We already knew he was our guy first impression very important to my husband's ex military. The project started after 6 days Ari could make it happen, he had semi custom cabinets ready in just 5 days! that was very impressive that he could do it. we didn't have much change in layout so it was 2 weeks work we have amazing kitchen and we love it! thank to Ari & Gideon the project manager we had a great experience working with Everlast. Highly recommended

    Whole house remodel
    48 days

We found Everlast Construction after a friend gave us Ariel phone number, we were looking to remodel a house we just bought and wanted an entirely in-home design and build a team to handle the project. After consulting with other companies, we were ultimately drawn to Everlast Construction because of their attractive showroom and attention to our inquiry. We are a young couple and other companies didn't take our needs very seriously thinking we wouldn't have much business to offer, but Everlast Construction treated us like we were their most important client. Ariel Baleli always greeted us with a smile, we signed the contract a week later and they began working on our home as if we were the first in line. Less than six months later we were moving into the house of our dreams and they still keep in touch with us to make sure everything is looking good and their craftsmanship is lifetime quality.

    Full Condominium Remodel
    $72,000
    118 days

Choosing a construction company was a challenging project by itself... We interviewed a dozen or more contractors before selecting Everlast Construction for the full remodel of our condominium.

Bottom line... We honestly could not be more pleased with the end result. The remodel was our first, and our initial expectations were a mix of the unknown in combination with a significant dose of acute anxiety. :)

In addition, we were well aware in advance of potential & unexpected issues that could possibly present themselves, thanks to Oscar (our highly talented and congenial foreman... really great). When confronted by these sometimes unpleasant surprises ($$), we were somewhat prepared, & always kept in the loop in terms of consistent & transparent communication.

Our final inspection presented a fair number relatively minor issues (again expected to a degree). Guy, the Everlast Quality Control person was terrific and acknowledged the need to return with a repair crew the next day... He even found a few imperfections even we had missed.

When everything was completed and the final check signed, I must say we were more than delighted. The owner (Ariel) even paid a surprise final visit to ensure we were happy with the services rendered.

And we were... Very. Also very impressed with the follow up after all was said and done. Full payment included.

Some of you reading this long winded review may question its validity, but this is not a planted Everlast review. We are really very happy, and truly loving the results. :)

p.s. As you search the Web's review sites, you will likely find our review time & again. These guys deserve the accolades. Good luck with your project! :)

I've had the best experience with Everlast Construction. The crew did a very good job passing all the city inspections. I heard some stories about the city but Everlast made it the first time! The kitchen was always clean during the process and that helped me a lot because I have allergies. I read some reviews here and to be honest, I don't know if it could even be real with what they wrote for Everlast. The kitchen is a work of art. The process took few days longer because of the city. Overall they did very good work.

Everlast Construction work on our home for a couple of months, they were great! work came out to be just amazing! The process was very good they helped me with design phase and they did the renovation, type of 1 stop place for remodeling. The project manager gave us updates daily/Bi-daily sometimes depends on the progress he made. A very good company we will hire them for our next project. one more thing they came almost same as all the other contractors so we really like that as well.

    kitchen remodel, flooring, electrical, deck
    $103,000
    230 days

Do not hire these guys, they are borderline scam artists. They start demo work right away and then when everything is destroyed, they start demanding money way ahead of the payment schedule. No one actually manages the work. Their idea of managing a project is to hire a subcontractor, tell them to show up and....that's it. Everyone who showed up had no idea what needed to be done, I had to tell them all what to do. They had multiple groups working on the same task and none of the groups spoke to each other so none of them knew what the previous group did. I can't even begin to imagine how screwed up our house would be if I wasn't here during the entire project to stay on top of things.

They started work on our kitchen remodel before we even had a plan OR before they had even applied for building permits. I'm pretty sure we never would have had permits if someone from the county building dept hadn't shown up and issued a stop work notice because of the lack of permits. In the end I was actually very grateful for the building inspectors because they caught them doing subpar work multiple times.

We had no kitchen for FIVE MONTHS. No deck in the back yard for almost six months. They used our backyard to dump all the trash in instead of getting a dumpster. Our backyard didn't get cleaned up until about 6 months into the project and that's only because the guy building the deck called someone to clean it up since all the trash was preventing him from building the deck.

They lied to us so many times. Told us the new sliding door to the backyard was back ordered for months - it was not back ordered. It was a standard size door. Told us they were doing us a favor not charging us extra for flooring. Said the flooring was $3.50 sq/ft (we were supposed to stay under $2.50 sq/ft) I called up ONE store and got a price of $2.40 sq/ft for the same flooring.

They told us they needed more money to hire more guys so they could work on multiple things at once. That never happened.

Deck they built for us looks nothing like the other decks they supposedly built. I say supposedly because i know they have posted fake reviews so there's a good chance the picture they showed us wasn't even a deck they built. The deck is lopsided. Wouldn't be a big deal if this was an old deck being refinished - this was a brand new deck AND I pointed out to them it was lopsided and they said they'd correct it. They never did.

Island, that they charged us a few extra thousand dollars to do a waterfall down the sides, is 4 inches shorter than what it was supposed to be and because the flooring is uneven, the waterfall doesn't go flush to the floor, there's a gap.

We have portions of flooring in the corner the kitchen that were never installed because no one coordinated anything and the cabinet guys came and installed the cabinets on top of where the flooring hadn't been installed yet.

Had wiring installed to hard wire the smoke detectors into the electrical - pulled down one of the smoke detectors and found out they never wired it up, just stuck batteries in it, which was also a violation of building code.

Started this in august 2015, it wasn't finished until march 2016. That's seven months. And you know what they did to try and make up for this? Nothing. Not one single thing. At one point i thought they gave us a free window, but it turns out since no one was really managing the project, the guy just replaced an extra window by mistake and later on when they found out, they tried to charge us an extra $1000 for it (even though i had 3 quotes from window installers and all of them were under $1000 even for the higher end windows).

As far as I am concerned, these guys shouldn't be in business. You'd be better off hiring subcontractors yourself and managing everything yourself.

Everlast Construction is the BEST Contractor I have ever dealt with, I would even say the best in Bay Area. Ari is professional, kind and courteous, he listens to your needs and follows thru to make sure your home becomes what you have been dreaming about. All of his employee's that worked at our house are awesome, never felt like I needed to watch or anything, I felt comfortable just giving them a key to my house. I am so happy with their prompt response in helping me, I would not hesitate to use them again! So far I have dealt with Ari, Gideon, Tyler and Tim and I couldn't recommend a better company and crew, if you are looking to have work done on your house these are the guys to call! So happy with the end results that I refer them to everyone I know, I have heard back from friends that have utilized their company also and only hear wonderful feed back, keep up the awesome work and thank you again for all that you do! We recently had our kitchen completed by Everlast. We literally could not be any happier with not only our complete kitchen but with the whole experience.
Ari is one of the most efficient, professional and courteous people we have ever dealt with. From the beginning it was clear that Ari takes great pride in his business and this is obvious in the quality of the finished product.
We had prompt and accurate service, he not only came out immediately and gave us some great ideas , he also gave us the most competitive quote we had . We met with 4 other companies, none of whom gave anywhere close to the service or value for money we received from Ari. So we were able to create our dream kitchen with Ari. We could not recommend Ari & Everlast Construction more highly and would be happy to give anyone a personal recommendation.

2 bathroom remodels, recessed lights, laundry room, new furnace and duct work under the house, 200 A
    90 days

Hired them last year for a relatively easy remodel. What a disaster, very poor workmanship and many things done in violation of the building codes. Fired them after 14 weeks on a 6 week job. Have won the claim against their bond company and the CSLB is investigating them for major code violations. The bond company's investigator used the word egregious to describe their work. Have had to put out over $10,000 just to correct the illegal PGE connection for a 200 AMP panel, a new furnace was installed but had no electrical connection and code lighting was missing, the dryer vented directly under the house even after I sent them the code requirements, the bathroom tile jobs are a disaster and we have had to pay others to replace and repair what they did. During the construction period the home was vacant and they had complete control. The home was used as a dumping ground, the existing hardwood floors were never covered and subjected to abuse. Ariel had his attorney respond to the issues address by the inspection report and his response included fabrications and lies. An example is the excuse that the job was delayed because there was no power at the home. The house always had power and had a smart meter. I produced PGE statements reflecting the daily use from the first day of construction in April and the text from Jay the day they started work, plus his pictures. He also stated that I must have contacted their electrical subcontractor and instructed them in June to illegally connect the power so that the job could start. They also applied with PGE for the 200 AMP panel using the name of YES Electric, who has stated they knew nothing about this job and blamed the tile work on another company.
People pay attention to this and others who have had similar experiences. This company should not be in business and you could end up just like we did.

This client have finished bathrooms that she didn't pay for at all. This client hire Everlast Construction knowing she will not pay us, we pass all inspections require by law, she did complain to cslb, and they close the case because we did nothing wrong, client did had some issue with tile work we agree to fix anything that she choose before even getting paid for our work. Client decided to not let us come in the house. How Everlast see this issue is very simple, client hire us to do a job, she didn't like it everlast offer solution from start to finish client refused to talk and try help us understand and solve it for her, Everlast send latters, emails, phone calls, nothing helped. Overall she have functional bathrooms that look amazing. and didn't pay nothing for our work. I think that the info in the review is not completely the whole story and we happy to talk with client and try solve it for her anytime.

I must say im actually surprised, before i start my project i took some advice from friend that did home remodeling in the past and they where so stressed about that because its takes time and you have to manage the most of it.
So i had an appointment with 5 Home improvement company`s and i decided to work with Everlast Construction the Project Manager was so Professional he knew everything about anything i felt so secure to leave my investment in his hands the completion was spouse to be signed after 38 days after we signed the contract, guess what ? they finish the project 2 days before everything was Clean and perfect for me, The quality Assurance visit the site few times and in the end of the project he just came took the project pictures we shake hands and this is it. I must say that i had great experience with Everlast Construction , I definitely highly recommended to check them and use them- Good luck with your projects and may you all have a great holiday`s.

Everlast Construction did an excellent job of installing new patio doors for us recently. He was competent, quick, and cleaned up meticulously at the end of the job. What impressed me when he came to give an estimate was that he LISTENED to what I needed and did not try to talk me into extra work that I did not want done, unlike a couple of other contractors I spoke to. He charged a very reasonable price and definitely gave value for money.

A:
Each contractor has his own way to estimate if you think it's not logical ask him why and let him explain if he or she gives you good explanation that is sufficient for you then you know it's fine. I think that in your case the GC is using sub contractors and mark up % fee for the management. To save this cost you can find GC that use their own crews and save that fee. Sample if he using sub contractor and charge him 1000 and he charge you 1000 so the fee is logical. if the sub charge 1000 and he charge you 1300 plus fee so it's not very good. hope that i helped you.
Q:
How do you renovate a kitchen yourself? How do you renovate a kitchen yourself?
A:
Remodeling a kitchen yourself is possible, but there are many things you should consider before getting into this project yourself. First, you have to understand that in kitchen there is few trade involve such as: 1. plumbing 2. electrical 3. framing 4. flooring 5. painting 6. countertop 7. carpentering If you think you can do most of it, you will be good. First, pull owner permit from the city or county, then draw up the cabinet plans to order them from the manufacture (order them assembled). Prepare the work area and demo the entire cabinets, floor, etc. Prepare electrical and plumbing order inspection, if you pass install cabinets and floors, then countertop backsplash lighting fixture and you done. Good luck.

A:
Last project we work on was convert basement to 800 sqft second unit, we had to excavate 2 ft in some places to make sure we have 8ft clearance, the whole work took 4 months, we did foundation repair and new foundation, framing work, electrical and plumbing, floor leveling, paint, siding, kitchen, bathroom, hvac system, deck, counter top. Our client was very happy from the work that she decided to let us do her attic conversion next right now we working on getting her attic 1000 sqft addition to the house. We had many challenges during the work we found many unforeseen items that we had to solve as we work. Now her mom live in the second unit and they are very happy form the unit we built them.
Q:

A:
I think you shouldn't hire if the layout is going to be the same as it will be easy to draw layout plan and any contractor can help you do that. Most contractors can give you their own input and I found that it's enough.

Any one who is stepping in your house should have insurance. If sub doesn't have insurance, the GC will have his own and it's good for most homeowners. Some GCs require from sub to carry their own. In California the law requires contractors to carry: 1. Bond 12,500 min 2. Liability 1,00,000 min 3. Workers comp So the sub should have it otherwise legally he cant work.

You need plans if anything is going to be changed, even if it's smallest thing such as a light switch, vent, etc. Most of the cities require a floor plan and it's little different than a full set of plans. You can most likely have simple bathroom floor plan that will show room size location of all fixtures electrical and plumbing. In San Francisco they ask to see existing and proposed they want to be able to compare how it is and how it is going to be after the remodel.

Q:
How much does it cost to build a house? How much does it cost to build a house?
A:
This is very hard question - I will try to answer it and simplify it as much as I can. There are many parties involved in new construction: 1. city 2. county 3. PG&E or any local power and gas companies 4. waste companies So many things, sometimes before you start to build you will be close to 100k in cost, sometimes more, depending on the county. For this reason, I would always recommend to buy a very old house tear down that already has all the connections and systems, leave 1 or 2 walls, and build the new house as a remodel. That requires an experienced contractor and planner. The main thing you should remember is it's all about where you going to buy. 1. San Francisco - I would not go into new construction 2. Detroit - I would do it if it's a good area (prices to build are affordable) 3. Las Vegas - I would not do new construction So it changes based on the area you are choosing. If you want, I can answer and be more specific. If you tell me where you are planning to do it, I will give you all the pros and cons. Thanks

How can I tell if my contractor is doing a good job during the project? How can I tell if my contractor is doing a good job during the project?
A:
Hi Carrie, most of the contractors will know what to do, i do hope you hire someone with CA Lic#, Most important is to get it inspected by the city permit services in your city, so you had to apply to permit and pay fee, then you know it's good prep work if it's pass or if there is corrections. We only do work with permits and sometime inspectors will tell to do extra things to protect your home so it's highly important to inspect by third party most of the time city inspectors.

Hi, each type of materiel has different ups and downs. Wood is more expensive, heavy, and most contractors like to work with it. I don't see why MDF will be something that contractor will not want to use; it's light, there's no way to get termites and it's good material. I would go with MDF if you are focused on budget.
Q:

Both ways are okay, but you need to know that info to understand what is your GC's abilities.
