COMPLAINING ABOUT INSURANCE

I used to complain a lot about what my company charged its employees for medical insurance – I was paying almost five hundred dollars a month for coverage for myself and my family, which I thought was a little bit outrageous.  I was able to rent my first apartment for less than five hundred dollars a month, I know that wasn’t just yesterday but at least I used that apartment every day, before just recently I had hardly ever used my medical coverage.  My attitude took a complete one eighty after a recent injury that I suffered at work.  It didn’t take me very long at all to realize that without that coverage I would have been consulting a Green Bay bankruptcy attorney.  The statements from the insurance company had started rolling in with detailed costs of all of the tests and procedures I had been put through.  I had suffered pretty serious head and neck injuries during the accident.  I started out in the emergency room and ended up having to spend a few days in the hospital.  If I hadn’t had the medical insurance, there is no way that my family would have ever been able to afford those bills.  Let me tell you, five hundred a month is a lot easier to pay than three thousand for this test and fifteen hundred for that test and so on – so from now on I’ll be happy to pay whatever they charge, because it’s obviously a lot cheaper than what the doctors charge.
